The Weiner Takes All
Happy Wednesday! Two days ’til Friday.
I do live the glamorous life. This weekend, in a town not-so-far away, folks near me will be having Wiener Fest, aka The Wiener Takes All Race. Already 84 Dachshunds are signed up to run their little legs off. You can eat lunch at the event–hot dogs of course. And the race is free, thanks to their sponsor…you guessed it–Oscar Mayer. It seems everyone has a race these days. Today a student asked me if I was going to run in the Arthritis Race. I said I would, but I had to be at the “I Can’t Find My Car Keys” run followed by the “I Have a Drippy Nose 5k.” So it’s about time the wiener dogs got their due.
I LOVE the message in this song by Idol alum Kelly Pickler. Check it out at YouTube. (Click the high-def option.)Â Very pro-girl!
Speaking of YouTube, thanks to my friend Erin V (who always gets to see my books before anyone, when they are in their ugliest, roughest, make-no-sense state), who sent me this clip.
That clip has over 3 million viewings, and it’s only 2 weeks old! Ninja Cat, you are so popular. And talented!
And what about this cat? Miller tends to randomly freak out with the printer, too, but it’s never entertaining. Warning: annoying sound effects on video. I had to mute it.
Animals can be so intense. I wish I could pay attention that good. I’d be like, “Oh, the printer is making noises again. I’ll go check it out….where did I put the candy bars. Must go find them…”
So Arkansas is on the map. Again. You might’ve heard of the Jim Bob Duggar family. Well, they now have their own show on TLC called John and Kate Plus 8? Don’t Make Me Laugh. Just kidding. It’s called Seventeen and Counting, as the Duggars (who really are a nice family, I hear) have 17 kids and one on the way (I’m NOT sending a shower gift this time. I stopped at 16.) HERE’S a cute video of them called Bloopers and Poopers. What a great title. I’m gonna watch anything with that title. Did you see how clean their home was? That’s cleaner than mine, and they have 18 MORE people in the house than I do. But I did notice the flooring is all tile. Probably so they can just hose it down every night.
Have a lovely day. I’m off to work on my edits for the second book in The Charmed Life series. Edits make me a little grumpy, so I should probably take some candy with me.

They are NEVER ugly, rough, or make-no-sense! Goose.
I think it’s kind of creepy to have that many kids. That guy needs a new hobby.

The Duggers are interesting. Did you see they BUILT their home?!?! I can’t build a birdhouse. Oh, and the skirts. I wear skirts/dresses maybe twice a year, but everyday? You’d have to drag me by the earlobe while I was yelling “NO! Skirts are evil! Evil I tell you! Eviiiiiiiiiil!” I just have this thing against skirts. I think my mom used to dress me up too much as a child…
I saw ninja cat! Funny, but I liked Laser cats better. Well… I’m off to see the Wizard.
