They have like a month and a half off for summer then they go back. It's weird. Why is everyone making such a big deal about Michelle Obama and her wanting to wear some shorts? Pretty much everyone does! We all get hot in the summer and we all want to wear shorts...why can't she? I can't wait to hear what your kids have for us this year! Students up here in Canada don't go back until after the September long weekend (Sept.8). Do you teach at a private school? Middle of August is unheard of for starting school up here unless you're in University and your program starts early. :o) Anyways, I would also like to share my sympathies over the loss of flip-flops at work. Tragic! I don't know where I would be if I couldn't wear my flops at work. I treasure them also. Hope you have an awesome flip-flop filled weekend!
