Casting Call
Question of the day: If you were casting a romantic comedy, who's your leading hot boy? And when I say boy, I mean of the older variety, age 30-40. You know, ancient.

Well, he just sneaks in but I’ve got to choose my main man, Richard Armitage! Have you seen him in The Vicar of Dibley?!?
I really don’t have any clue. BUT it sounds like you may be writing a book..*grin* If so, go Jenny!! So excited to see what’s next. I truly loved Just Between You And Me and am planning to re-read it. Hey, how about Connor Blake?!
(Fiction but well, he’s good for inspiration,no?)
🙂
I have recently discovered a huge love of Christopher Gorham! Such a good actor!
Alex O’Loughlan (Hawaii 5-0) or Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal) are my two top picks. Chris O’Donnell (NCIS:LA) is up there too.
Gerard Butler – he’s in his 40s – hope that’s acceptable age wise – it is for me!
well, he’s older then 40, but I would pick Russell Crowe. Or Chris O’Donnell. =)
James McAvoy – not your typical “hot” guy but oh that accent and blue eyes. Oh and Jonathan Rhys Meyers!
Mirando, Josh hutcherson is around nineteen but I’d have to pick him too! 🙂
Either Hugh Jackman or Pierce Bronson! They’ve both got the loks and the British accents. Plus deep down a heart of gold.
Josh Dallas from Once Upon A Time… he’s 30 so it counts…… he’s awesome…. and pretty good looking if you ask me….
I would have to say Chris Pine (Star Trek!!!!!!!), Chris Evans (Captain America) and definitely Alex O’Loughlin ( Hawaii Five-0). Those are my picks!!!!!!
Hugh Jackman. Everybody teases me about the “old man” crush I have on him!
Matthew McConnaughy. Really, though, I just wanted to write that I love your books. I cannot wait for more. Hope you are well
Tom Cruise. Most definitely. I mean, seriously, it doesn’t get hotter then him. Despite the fact he’s crazy in real life. It’s a shame really, we would have made an adorable couple.
OK, well, actually, as hot as Tom Cruise is, I just have to say the Colin O’Donoghue (Hook from Once Upon a Time) is beautiful. I mean Gorgeous. Like Melt-when-you-see-him kind of gorgeous. But Tom Cruise is more manly, it’s hard to make the call.
Oh, I would have to say Hugh Dancy….great in Daniel Deronda! Also Hugh Jackman….I guess I like foreign guys named Hugh…also, I always liked Michael Vartan in Never Been Kissed. OH, I LOVE Korean dramas, so romantic and clean (don’t know if anyone else watches these)…from South Korea So Ji Sub and Yun Jung Hoon (now there’s a good-looking vampire)…and a bit younger Lee Min Ho!! I would have to definitely agree, Richard Armitage and Colin O’Donoghue!! I love your books!
Hands down, Richard Armitage…anybody catch the ending kiss in BBC’s production of Elizabeth Gaskell’s North and South? (you can watch it on youtube…thank me later) I think he won an award for that kiss, the whole 4 hours is worth it when you get to that ending kiss. Yowsers!
OK, and if I can put in a punt for the next young leading man please model him a bit after Greg Sczebel. Just love that cheeky, boyish/man thing! In his music video, I Will Come or See Through heart, especially! And he’s into fashion but totally manly…maybe a character like him…yes?
I am elderly but I stand by Colin Firth. Please watch Love Actually and swoon if you need any further evidence to his fantastic-ness.
I can’t actually read these words I’m writing as I am old, sightless and wrinkled. Who the heck is Richard Armitage?
Also, God bless John Cusack.
I love Korean Dramas too!!! Kim Hyun Joong but he’s just 25 so no…but definitely Alex O’Loughlin he seems pretty good looking.
I would have to say Josh Duhamel(40). I love him, & he still looks young. 🙂
Nicholas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Patrick Dempsy, Ben Stiller, Josh Duhamel, Chris Pine, James McAvoy, Jim Carrey, and the list goes on and on….
I have a lot of movie crushes
OK, I just have to say, people, Josh Hutcherson, Chris Evans, and Robert Pattinson are most definitely that old. Also, to that person who said Pierce Brosnan, I request the highest of fives.
(Sorry for leaving so many comments) But I just saw the comment above me, David Tennant, *Fangirling*
Is it too late to comment. I would vote Christopher Gorham as well. YAY, it sounds like a book is around the corner…I AM SO THRILLED!
Henry Cavill. Don’t know about the comedy aspect of it, but always Henry Cavill. He’s a *ahem* really good actor. Besides the guy’s a Greek legend (Immortals, anyone?) AND who would NOT swoon at the big guy in spandex (upcoming Man of Steel). Oh and he’s British.
Their are quite a few, but here are 3: Collin Firth, Pierce Bronson, and Harrison Ford!
