Poison Ivy is Not My Friend
We interrupt this blog to tell you that I had a little tango with poison ivy and a biting mystery bug. Scratching, avoiding scratching, and beholding all the other joys of a rash are pretty much consuming my time, but I’ll be back Wednesday with the book winners and if you’re really lucky, pictures of my plague.
Just kidding–no poison ivy pics. Seriously, please come back Wed. I wouldn’t be THAT gross.
Okay, yeah, I would, but I’m not! I swear you’re safe.
See you Wednesday!
JEN

Oh gosh! I hope you get better!
i will pass down the advice i have heard (though disclaimer: i am not licensed to give any advice. the views good or bad or otherwise arent my own as i have never had to try them.)
Husbands remedy for his poison ivy: rub it with salt until you open the bubbly woundy thing. the salt absorbs the itchy fluid. and wash away. <i have seen this clears it up pretty fast BUT it is disgusting and painful and often leaves behind scars. him being a boy= no big deal. its gross.
here at the chiro: they prescribe trace minerals and biofreeze. (the biofreeze would feel amazing im betting)
anyway ill be praying for you. feel better!
Hope you quit iching soon!
Have you heard the new Jonas Brother’s song about Poison Ivy? I hate it, but that’s what this reminded me of : )
Oh yuck
that stinks. I’ve never had it and I’m ever so glad! Get better soon
Ooh poor you…hope you feel better soon. I’ve never had poison ivy, but last weekend I got bitten on the shoulder by an evil mystery bug, and it swelled up to the size of a large orange. and then my crazy cousin decided to put baking-soda paste on it, so i went around with little white flakes falling off all the time. ick.
Hope you feel better! Be careful out there!
feel better soon!
baking soda and vinegar, mix together to create a paste. Takes the itch out.
helps dry it out to heal. better then the pink stuff I hear.
Aw, ya’ll are too kind. April, I’m gonna try that. Other things are NOT working. : )
Melodie, I have mystery bug disease too! It’s icky. And itchy.
