Monday, You Showed Up. Again.

In lieu of a post (because I am suffering from End of School Year Brain Fry), I thought we could talk blogs. Here are some I love.

1. MacGregor Literary’s blog. The May 14th blog on acquisitions was awesome if you’d like a look behind the scenes in publishing. His blog always gets mentioned in Writer’s Digest. It’s totally gone to his head…

2. I always enjoy author Natalie Lloyd’s blog. She has such an amazing way with words.

3. How It Is by Junior Junior. Another great writer and just a funny girl. Like her post on why we should show a little sympathy for the Big Bad Wolf.

4. I mentioned this last week, but Chatterbox’s blog CRACKS me up.

5. The fabulous Katie from Thomas Nelson got me hooked on Pancakes and French Fries. This is a particular favorite post of mine.

6. I like to stop by the Girls Write Out blog, which is written by authors Diann Hunt, Kristin Billerbeck, Colleen Coble, Denise Hunter, and Hannah Alexander.

7. Novel Journey has new material every day, and it’s all about books, books, books. Books like my friend Gina Holmes’ debut book Crossing Oceans. You can also check out Novel Reviews.

8. There’s author Christa Allan’s Fictionary, where she reviews books, talks books, and conducts interviews with awesome authors like Francine Rivers.

9. A new FAVORITE is My Book Therapy by Rachel Hauck and Susan May Warren, two favorite authors. Y’all, if you’re interested in writing fiction, this site is SO GOOD.

10. The Green Bean Teen Queen always gets a mention because I think she has one of the best YA review sites out there. Plus I’ll be visiting her library in June with some other fun YA authors. Stay tuned for details!

11. Have you checked out Relz Reviewz? Rel is one of our favorite people in writing land. She is so good to promote Christian fiction. When I got the fortunate opportunity to chat with her book club (by phone) in Australia, I had a blast. She and her friends are the best!  I love that Rel often posts previews of books coming like “Books from Tyndale for Fall 2010!”  Who doesn’t love a sneak peek?

12. I also like to check out what Gluten Free Girl is making. But that one probably doesn’t thrill all of you.

13. Another good blog if you’re interested in publishing belongs to agent Rachelle Gardner. You can find some great tips on the writing biz here.

14. Cake Wrecks is great. Though sometimes they show pretty cakes, and I get sad. I only want to see funny ones! Like this one. What the heck?

15. I LOVE Awkward Family Photos. LOVE IT!

I know I’m leaving off some blogs. What about you guys? Any new ones you’re checking?

Have a great week!

JEN

It has NOT gone to our head. We are still thoughtful and polite, humble and meek, in spite of the FABULOUS PRAISE WE HAVE RECEIVED FOR BEING THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON ON THE PLANET. We thank you for mentioning our blog.

ps: Writing in Royal Third Person is totally cool. We like it.
